Now Accepting Starbucks Cards

So sorry about the delay in my second post, especially to my dear cousin Tammy, who anxiously checks this thing on what I'm guessing is a daily basis.

Ya know that thing I might've told some of you a few weeks ago about being bored at work with nothing to do? Well yeah, that part of my internship is done, I'm thinking. Real Simple has really put me to work, which is definitely to my liking. Most of my projects right now are for the Web site, www.realsimple.com, or the newsletter, which all you women—men, too, if you'd like—should subscribe to. I am answering two questions sent in by readers, so you'll see my little name. Yay!

As things become more hectic and work gets to be a tad bit more stressful, I find myself in desperate need at the end of my eight-hour day to rest. I get on my computer—I'd get on my bed too, if only NYU would let me plug in my wireless router, jerks—and I listen to music and sit, despite the fact I sit on the computer at work as well.

Lately, we've been watching the NBA finals. My roommates, Jeff and Nate, and I enjoy sports. Because I love my little brother soooo much, lol, I am cheering for the Lakers, even though Paul Pierce hails from the best school eva—Rock Chalk, Jayhawk! But those games have been going late and I always sneak in a beer or two to relieve the stress. :) But yes, go Lakers!

This lack-of-sleep pattern I find myself following is requiring some much need caffeine, thus the title of my post. Venti iced skinny vanilla lattes are rather expensive here. So...send away! JKs ;)

At the magazine, I'm helping the editors with the holiday gift guide, which will come out in the December issue. This is a big thing with lots of people, so it's pretty cool they have me helping. So far, I've been to a toy show with THE most amazing toys. Totally made me wanna be a kid again. They had night vision goggles and cupcake kits for the microwave. Just really cool stuff. I even got samples of the toys, which will be dispersed at the family reunion. The thing is they don't necessarily qualify for our aesthetic at the magazine, so it's pretty much just an excuse to see awesome little gadgets. Next week I'm going to the flagship FAO Schwarz holiday press show! Oh I'm so excited.

I promise, when I've begun to organize myself and my work, I will routinely update this and eventually make sure I post pictures and video of the city. It's pretty cool!

Thanks for the comments and to those of you like Tammy, keep checking consistently, I won't let you down anymore! ;)

Woo Hoo, I am the first to comment (Tammy must not be checking regularly anymore! hehe)!!!! Ok first of all, that little Starbucks gift card I gave you can be replenished. Hopefully you didn't throw it away and I will find out how to replenish it. I will keep you updated. I am excited to hear about all your adventures so do try to keep this updated more often - especially since talking to you on the phone or in messenger is very hard to accomplish! lol I look forward to the videos and pictures, so stop resting and get to work! hehehe ... Love you bunches! xoxox

What the H... you said you weren't going to let down your faithful readers and here we are almost 3 weeks since a blog has been posted. Is this how you are going to treat your faithful magazine article readers? Tease them with an article, promise to produce more, and keep them hanging? Well I for one am very disappointed in you!

(See you Friday... YIPEE!) :)
